The Dog Bond Academy From the Police Beat to Clinical Behaviour

We are Tanya and Matt, the ex Police duo behind The Dog Bond Academy.

With a combined 30 years of policing experience, we bring a unique level of calm, observation, and discipline to dog training. But we swapped the beat for behaviourism because of our shared, lifelong love of dogs.

The Perfect Balance of Science & Simplicity We believe that dog training shouldn't be a "one size fits all." We have trained with various top-tier companies to gather the best methodologies, ensuring we offer a truly rounded approach.

Tanya

Tanya: with a Level 2 in Counselling Skills, Level 5 in Marketing, and currently completing a prestigious Level 6 Clinical Behaviourist qualification (making her one of the few worldwide to combine this level of clinical study with our specific background), she loves the "nitty-gritty." Being AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD), Tanya combines a hyper-focused love of theory, body language, and complex behavioural analysis with a passion for practical problem-solving.

Matt

Matt is the translator. With suspected ADHD, he has a gift for taking Tanya’s complex scientific analysis and translating it into calm, easy-to-understand language. He strips away the jargon so everyday dog owners can feel confident, not confused. He loves skills based training and walks approximately 15 miles a day as his energy is never ending!

Terms and Conditions for 3-Month & 6-Month Training Programs

  • Payment

    • All payments are non-refundable and must be made in advance, either as a one-time upfront payment or via monthly installments.

    • Payments are processed through Stripe, Paypal or Bank Transfer.

  • Training Sessions

    • If working together remotely - our face to face is over zoom

    • Clients will have access to WhatsApp for messaging throughout the duration of their plan. I will strive to respond within 24 hours, where possible.

  • Access to Resources

    •  

      Clients have free access of all our online courses to watch at their own convenience

      Clients will have free access to webinars throughout the duration of their training plan to support learning and development.

  • Commitment to the Behavioural Plan

    • The owner agrees to fully commit to and consistently implement the behavioural plan provided by the trainer.

    • Regular participation and follow-through on the plan are crucial for achieving the desired outcomes.

  • Cancellation and Refunds

    • All payments are non-refundable, even if the owner decides to discontinue the training program early.

    • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.

  • Program Adjustments

    • Adjustments to the plan may be made if needed, based on the dog’s progress and individual needs. Any modifications will be discussed and agreed upon by both the trainer and the owner.

  • By enrolling in the program, you agree to these terms and commit to actively engaging with the training process.
